SHELTER
Location: Hudson Valley, NY
Client: Private
Team: ROMINES Architecture
Sited along an overgrown rock wall that gives way to a mountain stream, this simple structure was conceived as a camping outpost and first opportunity for new land owners to get to know their wooded property in the Hudson Valley. Spending time first in tents and then in the classic A frame shelter offered the opportunity to become familiar with the land, sun and natural surroundings while planning a future home to be located on the same site. Fostering a sense of place and wonder, this elemental structure provides inspiration for its inhabitants and visitors alike.
